Blue Tooth USB Makes Connections Convenient

For those with computers purchased before blue tooth technology became popular can almost instantly turn their machine into a blue tooth unit through the use of a blue tooth USB adapter. Using blue tooth wireless connections offer many advantages, with not using wires for connections being top on the list.

There are many computer peripherals that are blue tooth enabled such as keyboards, mouse and printers, and by using a blue tooth USB adapter can be connected to your computer without the hassle of cables. Think of the convenience of printing from your laptop without having to move the printer. If you are working in your living room, maybe while watching television, and you want to print, normally you would take your laptop to your printer, plug in the cable and print.

With a blue tooth USB adapter, you can simply hit print, then go to your printer, and pull the document from the tray. Additionally, if you have a blue tooth enabled music player, you can use your blue tooth USB adapter to send songs to the player, without the need for wiring it to your computer. You can even share files from computer to computer without the need for a network connection.

Easy Set Up Promised With Most Adapters

All manufacturers of blue tooth USB units promise to have your devices up and running with a minimum of problems, but they do caution that not all blue tooth enabled equipment will be compatible. Depending on the blue tooth version of the devices and that of the adapter, there may be compatibility issues, or speed concerns. However, they all contain software to offer an easy connection wizard, allowing for naming each of your devices.

The capable range of blue tooth USB adapters from the peripherals ranges from about 25 feet to a claim of 300 feet by one manufacturer, but this will depend on some variables such as the signal losing strength if it has to go through walls, as well as the composition of the walls. Another caution is your blue tooth USB adapter, detecting connections of blue tooth enabled devices in another house that is within range. All of your products will be given a friendly name during set up to prevent you from printing your tax return on a neighbor's printer, but it could happen if care is not exercised during set up.
