Bluetooth Wireless Phones
Bluetooth Phone Technology
Some of the most desired technology of the 21st century is found in Bluetooth phones; they enable users to create a personal area network (PAN), much like an office's network to connect multiple devices wirelessly and automatically. Cellular Bluetooth phones are some of the most popular devices to feature this technology; most widely available Bluetooth phones have type 2 Bluetooth technology, which has a range of around 30 feet.
For most consumers the widely available type 2 Bluetooth cellular phones will have more than sufficient range for their purposes; Bluetooth phones are able to interface with all types of wireless devices including headsets, GPS systems, wireless adapters, and even more. Generally up to eight wireless devices would be able to function on one PAN.
Bluetooth Availability
Most cellular companies carry a variety of Bluetooth phones, and several manufacturers make the phones such as Nokia. Additionally many Bluetooth phones have a variety of other features such as cameras, internet, text messaging, and music/live TV capabilities.
Bluetooth phones use short weave radio type of technology to provide compatible devices with superior networking capabilities.
Deals On Bluetooth
These cellular phones can often be found at a discounted price when purchased with a new carrier; a company will often give the high end Bluetooth phones at a miniscule rate to gain new customers, and offer the lower prices only with a contract. Most of companies do however have a part of their contract that allows for an upgrade to their phone every few years, and will, offer the Bluetooth phones at a discounted rate when their upgrade becomes available.
Bluetooth, History Of The Name
Bluetooth phones and Bluetooth technology actually get their name from a king in Denmark who lived over a hundred years ago. When Ericsson, Toshiba, Nokia, Intel, and IBM Partnered to create this technology they likely chose the name Bluetooth because this Viking king conquered and united Denmark and Norway in the 9th century A.D.
The technology was designed to unite cellular phones and laptop computers to other devices using a low powered short wave radio frequency which uses very little battery life. Additionally these Bluetooth phones and other compatible devices conquered existing technology to create a superior network for electronics in a small area to operate on. Bluetooth phones are appropriate for both corporate users and average people who wish to simplify their lives.
