PSP Emulator
Emulate This
This is why we have to put up with DRM (digital rights management) issues. Hackers and hucksters and cheaters trying to "emulate" or copy that which should not be copied. Leave it alone I say. It's really pretty incredible all that we can do with the PSP without having to break the law and potentially make it more difficult to copy our own media.
Hackers get mad because Sony PSP developers have a PSP emulator and they don't. Go work for Sony as a developer and you'll get one too. It's kind of like the name tag thing.
Actually it makes me sick every time I read about someone trying to hack into something else. I hope that hacker I just read about is a veteran. This is exactly why I have to mess with video conversion software. First we wanted to get the files on our computer to the PSP. Now they're complaining because they want to play PSP games on the computer!
That's what a PSP emulator is for. It imitates the PSP to the point that you can do on your computer what the PSP does. Basically, what the hackers want to do is burn UMD disks that will play on their computers.
Don't Emulate This
This is just getting too complicated. We didn't have this problem with record albums. Of course, we didn't have home computers either and I never did have a record player in my car. Did we try to make one? Not that I know of.
Ok, I admit it. I am the PSP Grinch of the hackers. People like this are never content to hack one thing, they want to hack everything. If it were not for hackers trying to get the PSP emulator and a million other pieces of data, we wouldn't have old ladies making commercials "emulating" male bikers.
I'm ranting. I admit it but if I even hear the term PSP emulator one more time I'm going to scream. It is in the faces of these people that I want to dangle the high prices of the UMDs. What else could it be? They know it will only be a matter of time before the secret technology inside those little boxes and disks is playing in computers everywhere. Guess what happens next?
They build a bigger and badder and more expensive console with more expensive games. To the PSP Emulator hacker people, I say Enough!
