With the success of the apple ipod series of Apple Computer, it is no wonder that there will be an apple ipod lawsuit on the table. (...)

With the success of the apple ipod series of Apple Computer, it is no wonder that there will be an apple ipod lawsuit on the table. Apple Corps sued the apple ipod creator, Apple Computer, of a breach in their agreement over the use of their famous trademark. Last March 2006, the hearing for the Apple ipod began before the London court.

Before any of the loyal fans of this iconic device dismiss this Apple ipod case as envy,it is important to look behind the court history of these two companies. The Apple ipod case is the latest court battle of these companies. In the early 80's, Apple Computer paid Apple Corps $80,000 and promised that they will never enter the music business. 1989 proved to be another hot year between them after Apple Corps took Apple Computer to court again, this time for a music-making program and a microphone.

The latter paid Apple Corps another $26 million and was allowed to sell goods and services for the reproduction, play, running or otherwise delivery of music content. Apple Corps maintained the rights to creative works containing music. Their agreement only prevented Apple Computer in distributing content on media like CDs and tapes. It is vague on the stand pertaining to later inventions like digital music files or even the devices that they run on.

Mainly a trademark dispute, the Apple ipod case has become a much-anticipated issue. Because of the 1991 agreement, Apple Computer says that they are allowed to use the logo on the apple ipod and iTunes because they don't own the rights to all their music, just the digital technology to handle its distribution. Whatever they have used the trademark on is well within their agreement.

Anthony Grabiner, Apple Computer's lawyer believes they have a strong defense against Apple Corps. Meanwhile, Apple Corps is seeking damages and demands that the company and apple ipod maker to stop its use of the apple logo on their iTunes Music Store and the in advertising for the site.

Many fans of the Apple Computer products think that the Apple ipod case has some bearing. There are those who suggest that Apple Computer should just completely change its logo to end any lawsuit from being filed against them in the future. Ilounge.com visitors see this Apple ipod case as an admission that Apple Computer has indeed violated their agreement with Apple Corps especially when they are judged by the previous settlements that the former offered.

What this Apple ipod case really shows is a warning to all companies. Trademark and copyright lawsuits can be very expensive to settle especially when your company has just picked up business. That is why many companies invest heavily in market research, branding and patents. Make sure that you check the copyright of any of your business processes, logos and symbols before releasing it to the public. Setting everything in order will help your company avoid nasty court battles such as the Apple ipod case.

Eddie Cue, iTunes vice president at Apple Computer, took the witness stand April 3, 2006 to defend his company. Cue testified that the Apple Computer did not violate their 1991 agreement by using the Apple logo on their iTunes Music Store. What they provided was data transmission and not the original rights to the songs.

During the closing in the Apple ipod case, Anthony Grabiner defended Apple Computer's right to use the logo because they are promoting the iTunes store and not the music itself and as long as they indicate the origin of the software and downloading services, they have not breeched anything.

Apple ipod will still remain as the most popular audio and multimedia player device in the market despite lawsuits filed against them. The apple ipod sales will continue to soar as users and patrons find more and more ways to use their apple ipod in their daily lives. Of course, there will be dissidents. By experience, anyone who can complain will complain so no matter how Apple ipod tries to meet its consumer's needs, they can't please everyone.

The ruling for the Apple vs. Apple trademark case is unlikely to be before the Easter break. As to how this all ends for the apple ipod, we will just have to wait and see.

Thousands and thousands of people in the United States and around the world are familiar with cellular phones. (...)

Thousands and thousands of people in the United States and around the world are familiar with cellular phones. With gadgets such as cellular phones, you can stay connected with your friends and family and talk with anyone anywhere on the planet. And what's more, you can do all these from just about anywhere!

The cellular phones in the market these days have an incredible plethora of functions and gizmos. Every month or so, new functions are constantly being added to make your cell phones even more convenient to use. Truth be told, typical cellular phones nowadays can do just about anything. Depending on the cell phone model, here are some of the things you can do:

* Store contact information
* Make task or to-do lists
* Keep track of appointments and set reminders
* Use the built-in calculator for simple math
* Send or receive email
* Get information, such as news, entertainment, stock quotes from the Internet
* Play simple games
* Integrate other devices such as PDAs, MP3 players, and GPS receivers

All right, so now that we have enumerated some of the stuffs that cellular phones can do. But have you ever wondered how cellular phones work? What makes cellular phones different from regular phones?

To start with the basics, cellular phones are basically radio devices. Well, they are extremely sophisticated radio devices but radio nonetheless. The telephone was invented by Alexander Graham Bell in 1876 and wireless communication came to be with the invention of the first radio by Nikolia Tesla in the 1880s. It was perhaps only natural that these two great technologies would be used together to create the cell phone.

Before the age of cellular phones, people who needed the portability of mobile-communications devices installed radio telephones in their cards. This meant that the telephone would have to have a big transmitter that's powerful enough to transmit 40 to 50 miles. Now, for the mobile person where convenience is a must, that's not very appealing.

The genius of cellular phones is the division of a city into small cells. This allows extensive frequency reuse across a city so that millions of people can use cellular phones simultaneously. Typical cell phones in the United States can receive about 800 frequencies to use across the city. This is indeed a big step from the radio-telephone system where only about 25 channels are afforded per city. What the cell phone carrier does is to chop up the city into hundreds of cells, each measuring about 10 square miles. Because cellular phones and base stations use low-power transmitters, the same frequencies can be reused in non-adjacent cells. This allows more people to use cellular phones without choking the frequency pathway.

Cell phones are hand-held telephone devices with built-in antennas. They are often called wireless, mobile, or PCS phones. (...)

Cell phones are hand-held telephone devices with built-in antennas. They are often called wireless, mobile, or PCS phones. Cell phones are popular with callers, especially those who are frequently on the go, since they can be carried easily from one place to another.

Basically, cell phones are two-way radios. When you talk into a wireless telephone, it picks up your voice and converts the sound to radio frequency energy or radio waves. The radio waves then travel through the air until they reach a receiver at a nearby base station. From here, it is the base station that sends your call through the telephone network until it reaches the person you are calling.

Health Concerns over Cell Phones

The most recent issue about cell phones is their perceived health hazards. As stated earlier, cell phones are radios. However, to be more accurate, cell phones are low-power, single-channel, two-way radio devices. When you talk on your cell phone, you are actually talking to a nearby base station. Cell phone base stations are low-power, multi-channel, two-way radios. Their function is to send your phone call into the regular land-line phone system so you can start talking with the person you are calling.

Now, since cell phones and their base stations are two-way radios, they produce radio-frequency (RF) energy which is what they use for communication. The people who are near them are of course exposed to the RF energy. However, because both the cell phones and the base stations are low power, meaning they only exhibit short range energies, the RF energy exposure levels from them are generally very low.

The scientific community both in the United States and internationally agree that the power from these cell phone base station antennas is far too low to produce health hazards and as long as people keep away from direct access to the antennas, they are safe from any perceived health risks.

Cell Phones - Buying and Savings Tips

Cell phones are the "in" things nowadays and it's hard not to find anyone without it. However, despite cell phones being an absolute must, there's no need for you to pay much for a gadget that you barely even use. So, if you don't use cell phones very often, select a low usage service plan for your mobile. Many areas offer cell phones for as low as $19.99. This allows you the convenience of mobile phones but without making too much of a dent on your wallet.

Another excellent tactic to save on your cell phones is to only get features you need. Call your wireless provider to cancel extra features if you are not using them. This will allow you to save some on your cell phone service plan.

A 42-inch plasma television was once viewed as being luxuries in society - hard-to-find indulgences shown to and bought by only the richest in society - but today, they are available to the entire public. (...)

A 42-inch plasma television was once viewed as being luxuries in society - hard-to-find indulgences shown to and bought by only the richest in society - but today, they are available to the entire public. Certainly, prices for plasma televisions have dropped, and continue to do so with increasing technology.

You can in fact now find 42-inch plasma televisions in any major (and even in minor) electronic shops, from big-name retailers such as Best Buy, Sears, or Circuit City to your hometown neighborhood electronics store or even a local weekend garage sale. With such high availability, here are some things that you should remember and things that you should look for when you are considering buying a 42-inch plasma television.

Plasma Television Technology

While many people know that a 42-inch plasma television is nicer than a standard tube television or even just a flat screen television, they usually do not know why. Essentially, plasma television technology allows each pixel on the screen to contain green, blue, and red color cells at the same time - creating a picture that is able to display 16 million or more colors; this also means that plasma televisions have the ability to display the best "darkroom" contrast, which gives you the best contrast for watching movies.

Plasma televisions are also flat, which helps to eliminate any distortion from curvature. Both the perfectly flat screen and color pixel technology allow plasma televisions to be viewed at more angles than other developing television technology, such as LCD televisions. Thus, a 42-inch plasma television will not only give you a great size for watching television or movies, but it will also display a brighter, clearer, and perhaps more crisp picture overall.

Why a 42-inch Plasma Television?

A 42-inch plasma television is an incredibly popular electronics choice. The technology behind plasma televisions does not mean they can last forever, though; older plasma televisions' screens can burn out, which decreases the brightness of the television, while newer models will allow you to recharge the color pixels in the screen by leaving the television on a screen with static and no picture.

In choosing your new 42-inch plasma television, be sure to discuss these and all of the rest of your questions with the salesperson. Many of those who are interested in buying a plasma television also believe that a larger television is a better television; in fact, the size of a television should be proportionate to the size of the room it will be in, whether that is a living room, bedroom, or recreational room. A 42-inch plasma television is best viewed from a distance of about 10 to 14 feet, and while you can certainly buy a 42-inch plasma television for a smaller room, the best effect of the television will be from this distance. These are just a few things to remember when considering upgrading to a plasma television. The most important thing to remember, though, is that you enjoy the 42-inch plasma television that you eventually buy!

Garmin International Inc is a member of the Garmin group of companies that designs, manufactures and markets navigation equipment both for the aviation industry as well as for the common man.

The company began operations in 1989 with just a handful of engineers and a great product idea. The idea worked and the US army used the Garmin handsets in the 1992 Gulf War. After that, there was no looking back for the company.

Today, its handsets are used by millions of people across the world in fields as diverse as aviation, marine, automotive, wireless, and general recreation. One reason for Garmin's phenomenal success has been its innovative products, which have made life easier for the common man.

Another reason has been the ease of use. The Garmin systems have logical menus and smart features. This makes it easy to understand their working. Garmin also provides you with easy-to-understand instructional manuals.

Garmin's constant quest for new products has brought it several firsts. These include: the first non-precision approach using a general aviation GPS, the first multi-function display, the first FRS/GMRS radio and GPS handheld, the first palm-sized GPS/VHF and the world's smallest GPS for the outdoor enthusiast.

Garmin was also the first to design a portable GPS with a moving map. Besides this, Garmin produced a panel-mounted GPS with internal backup battery, a portable/panel mount that interfaces with autopilot and the fully-portable color aviation GPS. Garmin has also been the market leader in sales of aviation transponders, aviation audio panels, panel mount aviation GPS and portable aviation GPS

The Garmin handsets locate satellite signals quickly and track the user's location wherever they go. The GPS receivers also provide instant updates, smooth scrolling, and real-time moving map capabilities - all this is done in real time and with a great deal of accuracy, quality, and reliability.

Garmin also believes in quality customer service. Its website answers most of the questions that new users may ask; also, its sales are backed by a customer hotline. Garmin believes in customer satisfaction and its staff members spend hours poring over customer complaints and suggestions.

It is therefore not a surprise to see Garmin forging ahead in the world of GPS devices. It continues to introduce new products and upgrade existing ones. This has made it one of the most important players in the GPS market.

The seventh generation of video game systems is currently pushing its way to the gaming industry. (...)

The seventh generation of video game systems is currently pushing its way to the gaming industry. In fact, Microsoft-produced Xbox 360 is the only video game system that has been released so far as far as the seventh generation of game consoles is concerned. Sony's PlayStation 3, Nintendo's Wii, and Evizions Computer Entertainment's EVO: Phase One are all scheduled to be released at the last quarter of 2006. These video game systems have a long way to go and different game developers are on their way on creating the next generation of video game systems that will be released as soon as possible.

Beyond the new generation of video game systems, probably you already forgot its predecessors, particularly the first and second generations. Such generations became the "cream of the crop" of the gaming industry during its early years, and facilitated the development of subsequent video game systems until the seventh generation. What we do not realize is that new video game system becomes old video game system soon, and is soon forgotten in a dusty corner.

That is what exactly happened to the old game systems. Once, they have been glorified because of the extraordinary entertainment that it provides to the gaming public. But now, they are just within the sidesteps of our memory, being demolished by new game systems which, as previously mentioned, will soon become old technologies once newer systems will be introduced to the market.

At this point, we need to refresh our memories and take ourselves back to the time when old game systems were at the pedestal of excellent recognition during the first stretch of video game systems and rediscover why we loved these game systems in the first place.

Atari 2600

The Atari 2600, which was released in October 1977, became the first successful video game system to use plug-in cartridges instead of the traditional built-in games. It was originally known as Atari VCS (Video Computer System), which was changed in Atari 2600 in 1982 after the release of the more advanced 5200. It is equipped with two conventional joystick controllers, a game cartridge, and an adjoined pair of paddle controllers.

The fundamental layout of Atari 2600 is similar to other game systems and home computer during the 80s. Its central processing unit (CPU) was the MOS Technology 6507, an 8-bit microprocessor capable of addressing 8 KB of game memory, which is considered to be a lot during the 70s era. It was running at 1.19 megahertz on the 2600 model. The game system contains 128 bytes RAM for runtime data, which included state of the game world and call stack. In the absence of a frame buffer (a video output device which drives a video display from a memory buffer that has an extensive data frame), the 2600 made use of 2 bitmapped sprites, single-pixel ball, 2 single-line missile sprites, and a playfield. On the other hand, its video hardware gave 2600 the reputation of being among the game machines in the world that is difficult to program.

Atari 7800 Prosystem

The 7800 Prosystem was released by Atari in June 1986, which is designed to reestablish the company's market supremacy against two of the prominent video game system producer during that time (Colecovision and Intellivision) as well as to replace the unpopular Atari 5200. The 7800 Prosystem addressed the shortcomings of 5200, particularly the joysticks and the compatibility with 2600-enabled games.

The 7800 Prosystem was Atari's first video game system designed by other company, particularly the General Computer Corporation (GCC). Since it was designed to be upgraded into a complete home computer, the game system made use of a keyboard which had an expansion port in addition to other peripherals such as printers and disk drives. Furthermore, GCC came up with a high-score cartridge, which is a battery-backed RAM game cartridge that is developed for saving high game scores.

However, the 7800 Prosystem faced a severe software drought that marked the crash of all Atari game systems. There were few title releases made by Atari and most of them were lacking in feature and was generally unpolished. There were also some 7800 games that were made which are already available in the previous Atari video game systems. It was also noted that there were no effort in recruiting third party game developers, aside from several game titles. Later on, Atari finally announced that they were formally abandoning the 7800 Prosystem.

These are just two of hundreds of old game systems which had been glorified on the early years of video gaming. Although most of them have sad endings, their contribution to the video gaming industry will be remembered and will serve as an inspiration for present video game system development.

The Palm Zire series was designed to satisfy the low-end consumer. These were handhelds available for within $100. The Palm Zire series included the Palm Zire, Palm Zire 21, Palm Z22, Palm Zire 31, Palm Zire71 and Palm Zire 72. All these models stuck to the idea of low cost and hence came with basic functions only.

The first in the series was the Palm Zire which was followed by Palm Zire21. Both these models were entry-level models. They had a monochrome display without any backlighting. Palm Zire weighed only 108gms and had a memory of 2MB. It used a Motorola Dragonball processor which ran the Palm OS 4.1.x .The other product, Palm Zire 21, had higher memory capacity of 8MB and ran the Plam OS 5.2.1. Both these models have now been discontinued. They gave way to the Palm Z22.

The Palm Z22 was a major improvement to the earlier models. It had a color display of 160×160 and weighed only 0.96gms. Even though it ran on a Samsung 200Mhz processor with 20 MB RAM it still cost below $100.

The Palm Zire 31 was the next model to be introduced in the market with a multitude of functions. It had a 5-way navigator, a 3.5mm stereo headjack and support for Palm Media Application and Real Player among other features. Palm shifted to the Intel PXA255 Processor with Intel XScale technology. It did not have MP3 capability nor did it support SD/MMC/SDIO. This severely hampered it and the Palm Zire 31 was soon phased out.

The Palm Zire 71was the first high-end PDA and was released in April 2003. It had a 320×320 screen which supported 16 bit TFT color screen. This model also had a VGA camera with 300k pixels and for 640×480 resolution. The camera was encased in a protective shell to save it from shocks. The PDA was initially sold for $299 but the price later came down to $249. Its major drawback was that it supported only 16 MB memory which greatly limited the number of pictures that could be stored on it. Palm Zire 71 drained the batteries real fast, and needed regular recharging.

The Palm Zire 72 was the final model in this series. It had a 1.2 Megapixel camera with 32 MB memory space. It also had Bluetooth and voice recording features. It had two models, the Standard one and a Special Edition. While the standard model had a bright blue body and a silver back, the Special Edition had an all-silver casing, which appealed to all.

There are a few things that anyone should know before they even consider purchasing an LCD flat screen television, and learning about these TVs as well as the issues in relation to them will not only help you to understand them more, but will also help you in your search and allow you to more easily get the best quality and worth for your money that you possibly can.

How does an LCD Flat Screen Television Work?

An LCD flat screen television has a slim design and a flat viewing surface, and are devices which have been fine tuned for video display. As well, even more recent advances in regards to LCD technology have resulted in the allowance for larger screens, wider viewing angles, as well as higher quality video images. An LCD flat screen television is also several times lighter than comparably sized plasmas and are far more durable as well.

Basically how they work is that two sheets of polarized transparent material, one with that of a special polymer coating that holds liquid crystals, are adhered together; electric current is then passed through these individual crystals, which then are able to interpret the information from the broadcast signal in order to allow or disallow light through them in order to create an image.

In fact, the crystals themselves do not produce light, and so the technology itself is then considered as being 'non-emissive', meaning that it therefore does not give off radiation such as the more conventional televisions did. Basically, an LCD flat screen television: uses non-emissive technology, and does not emit radiation; and uses fluorescent tubes which thus require less power to operate.

What to Know Before Buying Your Television

In regards to what you should know before buying your television, there are several things in particular of great importance. For one, you should take into consideration the matter of contrast ratio, with contrast ratio referring to that of the brightest and darkest light values that a particular display can produce at the same time.

Aspect ratio is another important matter, and this describes that of the relationship of a screen width to screen height; while conventional sets have a 4:3 aspect ratio the wide-screen models are 16:9.

The matter of resolution is also of incredible importance, and generally speaking, a television display is considered as being high definition if it is wide screen and if it has a total pixel count of that approaching a million.

The high definition camcorder specifications were in agreement with other manufacturers such as JVC, Canon and Sharp. In addition, the high definition camcorder has supporting software for video editing from such heavyweights like Apple and Adobe.

The Sony HDR-FX1 camcorder is the first in terms of technicality but the HDR specifications are derived from compression standards first introduced by JVC camcorder HDV specs. JVC's first camcorder known as the GR-HD1 which the consumer could use before Sony camcorders had entered the market also had a companion camcorder known as JY-HYD10U and it was based on the technology used in all of JVC's professional line of camcorders.

The difference between the JVC and Sony high definition camcorders is in the way that shooting is done. With JVC camcorders, shooting was done with 720 lines of resolution at a rate of 30 progressive frames every second, whereas the Sony camcorder shot at 1080 lines of resolution at 60 interlaced frames every second. However, both rates contain the same amount of information, where JVC offers progressive scanning and Sony offers a higher resolution picture.

The two brands have the same method of compressing information into a MPEG2 signal which can then be saved on standard MiniDV tapes. In addition, both brands also can record standard DV signals as well as HDV signals. With the HDR-FX1 comes three 1/3 inch 16:9 1.12 Megapixel gross CCDs, with each CCD measuring 960 x 1080 pixels and the pixels themselves are oblong and not square thus allowing the camcorder to shoot 16:9 aspect ratio video.

The expected street price of the Sony HDR-FX1 should be approximately $3,500, which is about a thousand dollars less than when the first MiniDV camcorders were introduced and at this price, Sony can begin competing with professional models offered by other brands. Added to the competitively priced Sony high definition camcorder is the fact that its new real time HD codec engine can code and decode the HDV signals.

Before we go into the benefits of using blue tooth stereo headphones, let us find out what blue tooth is. (...)

Before we go into the benefits of using blue tooth stereo headphones, let us find out what blue tooth is. As per a common definition, Blue tooth or Bluetooth is a mode of communication between two or more mobile devices through low frequency radio signals, which requires no previous licensing.

Bluetooth as a Boon To Modern Humanity

The fact that Bluetooth is able to enable devices to 'communicate' with each other without the help of wires, opened a wide spectrum of use and application. One such use is the blue tooth stereo headphone. Since this technology uses a frequency hopping method and fast acknowledgement application, the connection and transfer of data/ sound/ video is very smooth so the blue tooth stereo headphone is one of world-wide favorite devices.

Blue tooth stereo headphones, being wireless, are widely enjoyed in places where hands-free usage is required. This could be while driving, shopping, doing household chores, washing your car in the garage, and so on. With blue tooth stereo headphones not only your hands are kept free, you are also free from being tied up to any type of wiring.

The blue tooth stereo headphones are the most affordable way of enjoying wireless technology which makes this product a darling of millions across the globe. An added advantage is that you can use the blue tooth stereo headphones within a range of 30-120 feet which is better than most of the wireless technologies presently available.

There are other applications of this technology, you can apply it to your computer with a wireless mouse, keyboard and printer with the help of Bluetooth; you can transfer data from your mobile phone to your computer and vice-versa; you can transfer data from one mobile phone to another; send faxes, emails, and so on.

Bluetooth technology is brilliant not only because it allows wireless communication, but also because it is extremely simple to use and easy to install. For those devices, which do not have inbuilt Bluetooth, all you need to do is add a USB adaptor where a Bluetooth dongle can be attached. With this, you can form your own PAN or private area network where you can set up the connectivity with all the devices you want to 'communicate' with. In this way you can always stay connected.

The Bluetooth technology has changed a lot from the first time it entered the market. The development of the technology has been so fast and dramatic, that the present Bluetooth versions are not backward compatible any longer. This could be one of the very few disadvantages of this wonderful technology, which when compared to the benefits it offers, is easily acceptable.

Many people love their IPOD's. It is impossible not to love these super cool gadgets. With sleek lines, easy to use interface and great sounding digital music and video it is easy to see why the Apple iPOD is a phenomenon. If you are interested in purchasing an iPOD here are a few tips.

IPOD's have been available for a few years and now are a certified success. IPOD's are one the coolest looking gadgets on the planet and are in extremely high demand. Apple makes several models of its iPOD but there are a couple that really stand out. The two iPOD's that usually stand out are the video iPOD and the iPOD Nano.

The video iPOD is the same size as the regular iPOD and usually holds about 60 GB of data on a super small hard drive. For around $400 you can treat yourself to a super small iPOD that weighs only a few ounces and carry your entire music collection along with some of your favorite music videos, TV shows and movies.

For people looking for an even cooler gadget, nothing beats the iPOD Nano. Only weighing a few ounces and the width of a pencil the iPOD Nano can hold your music and other data as you zip around town. Most Apple iPOD Nano's are around the $200 to $250 range depending on the size of the hard drive which comes in either 2GB or 4GB. So whatever your needs, there is a great iPOD for you.

The iPAQ GPS navigation system ensures that iPAQ Pocket PC users are not lost on the streets of the US or Canada but can drive like a local regardless of where they are. (...)

The iPAQ GPS navigation system ensures that iPAQ Pocket PC users are not lost on the streets of the US or Canada but can drive like a local regardless of where they are. All that they need to do is to turn to their GPS-enabled iPAQs to locate streets, restaurants, colleges, entertainment centers etc.

The GPS kit includes a Bluetooth GPS receiver, a 900mAh lithium-ion battery, an auto adapter and maps of the US and Canada. It also has an extensive points-of-interest database, with more than one million entries which ensure that the users can locate hotels, restaurants, gas stations, ATMs and entertainment centers with ease.

The navigation system weighs 3.4 ounces and is quite bulky compared to other GPS systems. But this is a minor inconvenience, given the advantages that it brings. It has three LEDs that blink in different colors — green to indicate GPS signals, blue to indicate Bluetooth and orange to indicate the battery charge. The rubber grip on the back prevents the system from slipping off the dashboard. Besides this, the users are provided a vent mount for extra stability.

The software uses Navtech data and allows users to load data by city or region in segments of 25, 50, 75 or 100 miles radius. These maps can then be queried to locate routes by specific address, by intersection, by favorite destination, or via the contact list.
The system also gives the user the option to find the shortest route, or find a way which uses back roads and avoids highways.

What's more the entire information is voice-guided, and advises the user of the remaining distance, estimated time of arrival, and more. It even re-routes the user if a turn is missed. Some users complain that this data is not as comprehensive as that offered by DeLorme Earthmate or TeleType receiver. But this is more than compensated by the ease of use that the iPAQ GPS brings.

The iPAQ GPS is compatible with most of the latest iPAQs. It also works well with the H1940, H2200, H3870, H3970, H4000, and H5000 iPAQ series. The only iPAQs that cannot take advantage of this amazing software are the ones that form the rz1700 series.

The GPS system costs $350, which is slightly more than other systems, but it is certainly worth it.

If your answer to the above question was a resounding "YES" and you are looking for a way to enjoy internet access via a portable, handheld, device then it is time that you take a look at Sony's PlayStation Portable. As we've touched on before, the PSP doesn't do it all in your world, but it can certainly do enough to keep you busy on a short trip or between your college classes. In addition to all of that mumbo-jumbo, PSP can get you onto the World Wide Web in fine fashion while keeping you up-to-date on the world's issues! Here are a few ways to use the PSP browser:

> Are you a obsessed with sending text messages to everybody that you even remotely know? If so, then getting used to how to use the PSP keyboard to browse the internet will be an absolute breeze for you and those around you. The keying system is the same as each button has letters and numbers attached to it like "2" on your phone corresponds to "ABC". If you aren't obsessed with text messages but are hoping to use the PSP browser, Godspeed.

> Here is a tip to the wise out there about how to use the controls on the PSP browser … make the D-Pad and square button your best friends, it will make a huge difference in your world. The square button scrolls down the page while the D-Pad acts more like a mouse in that it rolls over basically everything on the page as you continue to move it.

> If you choose to open more than one window at a time and are looking to toggle back and forth between different windows, just remember to hold down the square button and push the powerful buttons on the top of the device. PSP allows you to have up to three windows open at once in which to surf without losing your place. As we said, don't ever underestimate the power of the square key!

A game makes a child happy and keeps him or her pre-occupied. It is an activity that brings not just fun and entertainment but also several lessons in life. (...)

A game makes a child happy and keeps him or her pre-occupied. It is an activity that brings not just fun and entertainment but also several lessons in life. You might notice it when you were still a child, but you learned to follow rules, face challenges, and interact with your playmates–which are all vital things that a responsible human being should learn. It involved physical and/or mental simulation, which helps you develop practical skills and other aspects of your personality.

Thus, a game is not just about pure entertainment. As previously mentioned, it helps you develop your overall personality–how you will act on a particular situation, how you will decide on a particular instance, and how you will solve a problem. Depending on the type of game that you want to play, it can enhance either your physical or mental ability, or sometimes both.

Probably you are familiar with an RPG or a role-playing game. This is a type of game where you assume the roles of a character and produce stories. You will be the one to determine the actions of your character/s based on its own personality, and the success or failure of such actions will depend on the system of rules and regulations of the game. Thus, in an RPG, you have the freedom to improvise your characters and what its destiny would be as long as it is within the game's rules and regulation. The choices that you will select for your character will shape the direction as well as the outcome of the game.

What makes RPG unique to other types of games (board or card games) is that it rarely has losers or winners. It is more of a collaborative and interactive type of gaming than competitive. Although there are competitions that may arise, a typical RPG unites you and other participants into a team (which is known as party) and play as a group in which you share the blessing of each success that you will achieve as you play the game.

Part of playing an RPG with fun and learning is to be aware of the mechanics of the game, or also known as a role-playing game system. The game system used in RPG is roughly similar to the game engine (the core software component) of a video game.

The RPG system can take several forms.

* A generic role-playing game system is independent of the setting and genre of the game. The rules and regulations will work the same way as for any setting that you would want to play. One of its advantages is that you only need to purchase and learn from one main rule book, which will help you save time and money. Since the settings share a huge set of features (like the way your character move and fight), you need not learn such basics when you are in a new setting using the same generic rules.
* There are game systems that depict a particular genre or style of play (such as Dungeons and Dragons).
* There are also systems that are not genre-specific yet come bundled with a particular campaign setting (such as the RuneQuest).
* The D6 system is one of the popular role-playing game systems, where it makes use of a 6-sided die to determine the attributes or raw abilities of a game character in a certain area. The D6 game system represents six main attributes; 3 of which represent physical characteristics (Physique, Coordination, and Reflexes) and the other 3 represents mental characteristics (Knowledge, Perception, and Presence).

All RPG systems require the participation of a GM or game master. They commonly create a certain setting for various game sessions, depict most of its inhabitants, and act as an intermediary or rule arbitrator for players. The rest of the game participants that are within the control of a GM are the player characters, which may collectively form a "party".

The game master will field a story goal for the players to fulfill through the actions of their in-game characters. It involves interaction with NPCs (non-player characters), other occupants of the game world (which is commonly played by the GM), puzzle-solving, combats, and negotiations.

A role-playing game will provide the entertainment that you are looking for, in addition to the enhancement of your overall personality. You should learn the game system so that you can achieve your goals in a role-playing game.

Atari developed one of the most popular and the most best selling gaming systems in the world. In 1977 Atari successfully launched a gaming system that almost everyone in the world wanted. The Atari Video Computer System or VCS created a new way to entertain the young and old alike in the late 70s to the early 90s.

If you played Atari before, you know how crude and simple the graphics were in this gaming system compared to the 3D state-of-the-art graphics with the latest technology in gaming consoles introduced today.

The popularity of Atari lasted for many years. However, with the introduction of a more realistic gaming system today, Atari became a relic. In the 80s, Atari game systems and its game cartridges flew off the shelves of stores worldwide. You can even compare Atari's popularity with the Christmas season craze that you may experience with other popular gaming consoles available in the market today.

However, because of overproduction of gaming cartridges, the market for video games crashed. Even with Atari's success, it was affected by the declining demand in the video game market. By the fall of 1986, Atari gaming systems wasn't available in most retail stores in the US.

However, even after all these years, Atari games are still fun to play. Even old games like Pac-man, Asteroids, Missile Command, and other popular titles Atari produced were still widely available in the video game market. Although it wasn't really available in cartridges like before, it is, however, still being played in the internet.

Today, Atari is now a game developer for PC games and other popular gaming consoles out in the market. They now develop games that can compete with the standards that people are searching for in a game. Popular Atari game titles, such as Neverwinter Nights, Test Drive Unlimited, Age of Pirates and others are now available for PC, Xbox, PlayStation 2 and others.

These games also have the stunning advanced 3D graphics that most people look for in a game today. With great sound effects and realistic graphic quality, Atari games can really make you want to play their games over and over again.

Atari games are also available in different genres. They have Role Playing Games or RPG, strategy games, action games, first person shooter games, driving games, simulation games, online games, fighting games and they also develop games for kids.

With the different kinds of games available that Atari produces, you can be sure that you will never run out of great game titles from Atari. If you get tired of an Atari game, you simply have to go out and buy another popular title developed by Atari.

However, fun as all the new games Atari is developing now, the old games, such as Missile Command, Pac-Man, Asteroids, Tempers, Battlefield and other popular game titles back in the 70s and 80s are still fun to play with. People who grew up in the Atari era have searched for the old gaming titles in the internet and play it online.

These games can still be played in your PC by just having an active internet connection and logging on to www.atari.com. Or, you can purchase the old Atari Video Computer System or VCS in the internet. Today, the game system still exists and people still buys them. Even the cartridges are for sale.

If you want to play old video games the old school way, then purchasing an Atari Video Computer System is the best way to do it. Relive the 80s and play hundreds of different games developed by Atari.

All you need to do is plug the Atari VCS to your TV, plug in your favorite Atari game cartridge and play like you did when you were a child. If you have children, try to let them join the fun by letting them play too.

Atari games are widely available for download in the internet. Old games can be downloaded and played in your computer. But, if you want to play with these old and simple games like in the 70s and 80s, purchase an Atari VCS gaming console in the internet.

So now you've decided on what type of player you are going to get and you are beginning the process of putting the music on that you want to listen to. (...)

So now you've decided on what type of player you are going to get and you are beginning the process of putting the music on that you want to listen to. A lot of people purchase songs online or use a site that can be described as legally questionable to boost their music collection; others simply plan to use their existing physical collection of music. Surely you know by now, you have to go through a two step process to achieve this task; here are a few things to consider:

1. Are you ripping in the format supported by the digital audio player you have purchased or will be purchasing? Don't waste all your time ripping your CDs to your Windows Media player if the device doesn't support the WMA format. Most players do, and let you know by the "Plays for Sure" logo, but some don't and you don't want to fall into the "I wish I would've checked first" category.

2. Is the information from your CDs showing up automatically when you rip the CD to your computer? Compact discs contain codes that can be used by your audio software to go on the internet and find the details to the music you are ripping. This is important to you being able to find all the songs you want when you sync to your digital audio player. You don't want the Bee Gees "Staying Alive" to show up as "Track 05" do you?

3. Are you organizing your music into separate genres as you go? You may be wasting precious time in ripping your CDs to your computer if you are organizing the songs into genres by yourself, manually. This will all be done automatically for you by the digital audio player you decide on or already have decided on, don't waste time doing it yourself.

4. Do you have a specific way you like to listen to your music? If you are of the type that doesn't mind if your Elton John comes right after your Pantera then you are okay. If you are of the type that does get upset by this sort of thing then you will want to create separate play lists before syncing to your digital audio player.

5. Enjoy! You are ready to step into the hip crowd of tech wizards with a portable music collection.
