The History Leading to Bluetooth Headphones
All Headphones Are not Created Equal
Music has changed a lot since the first home stereos first became available, and so have the way people listen to their music; at one time music was only available if there was a vehicle large enough to play it such as a record player or a car with a radio. Then music became more portable with 8 track cassettes, though that was short lived as there was also a different system required to play the tapes and as the name states there are only 8 tracks per cartridge.
The next step in the evolution of portable music was the cassette tape, these were very popular especially after the invention of the walk man, extremely portable and personal music, all one needed was batteries. Next compact disks made their debut on the music scene and took the world by storm; CDs have better sound quality, are able to hold more information than cassettes, and are easier to carry as well.
The next step in the progress of personal music is in the wide spread availability of home PCs, this would eventually allow it's users to take their favorite songs from their existing music collection, copy these songs on to their computer and then copy those same songs to a small device that could store and play lots of music, but could be changed over and over, this player was called the MP3 player.
The MP3 player is where the Bluetooth headphones were born, as nothing is better than listening to ones favorite music, in high digital quality anywhere the batteries will take them. Nothing can ruin this "personal soundtrack" effect more than the bothersome cords of the headphones that connect to the device. The solution to this problem is found in the Bluetooth headphones.
Bluetooth headphones connect wirelessly and easily to a MP3 player; the Bluetooth headset will come with software and an adapter for charging; setting up the communication between the Bluetooth headphones and the Bluetooth enabled ipod, MP3 player, or Bluetooth cellular phone with music capabilities is easy, and takes most consumers literally, less than 5 minuets to set up.
Bluetooth headphones are light weight and comfortable to wear; because Bluetooth doesn't require any line of sight to create a PAN with the music device, the MP3 player or iPOD, can be in the person's pocket and the Bluetooth headphones will never miss a beat. Many models of Bluetooth headphones even have a charger that will allow them to recharge right next to the device. This is very convenient for the consumer as the Bluetooth headphones will always be ready at the same time as the music enabled device.
