The Perfect Television: A 42-Inch Plasma Televisions

The electronics market has truly become flooded, especially as of recently, with a myriad of televisions, with differing technologies-from LCD to HDTV and plasma-and differing sizes-20 inch, 24 inch, 27 inch, 31 inch, 42 inch, etc. Shopping for a television can be very stressful; you will no doubt be staring at televisions to see which one has the better picture, discussing different technologies, and scrutinizing the size of the television. Well, look no further for help. A 42-inch plasma television may be the perfect television for you.

Plasma Technology

First, plasma televisions are created with some of the best technologies that are available today; it is generally agreed that the display is brighter, clearer, and more colorful than any other television on the market. Plasma televisions can burn out however, which means the display will deteriorate.

However, most new plasma televisions have at least a 60,000 hour output before burning out; that is over ten years of viewing time. Plasma technology also allows for much bigger televisions, which is why there are so many 42-inch plasma televisions but very few 42-inch LCD televisions.

Size Matters

There are various sizes of televisions on the market, but many retailers have a stock of 42-inch plasma televisions because of their incredible popularity. Many think that larger is ultimately better; however, a 50-inch plasma television may not deliver the kind of picture you envision, while a smaller television may not be visible from every point in the room.

There are many factors to consider, and a 42-inch plasma television is most often the perfect size with the perfect technology. As well, often times many people think that with the higher technology, they do not have to worry about pixelation. This is simply not true, as there are generally accepted viewing distances for a 42-inch plasma television - ten feet to 16 feet. Viewing the 42-inch plasma television from this distance will blend the pixels together better and thus improve the picture.

From Every Point in the Room

A 42-inch plasma television will fit comfortably in any regularly-sized room in a home. For instance, many living rooms today are at least 10 feet long or wide, allowing for the minimum amount of viewing distance. With a larger television, you would need much more space, and with a smaller television, you would need to rearrange the layout of the room in order to ensure that you could see the picture properly. A 42-inch plasma television can be viewed at more angles than an LCD television, but is also large enough to be visible from nearly every point in a room - making it the perfect television for your home.
